Srinagar, Nov. 25 -- Jammu & Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary on Tuesday called on Member of Parliament Aga Ruhullah Mehdi to channel his concerns through parliamentary discussions rather than street demonstrations.

Addressing reporters, Choudhary emphasized that there is no plan to increase electricity tariffs, countering claims made by some political leaders. "The Chief Minister has already clarified that the government has no proposal for any tariff hike," he said, adding that Aga Ruhullah is free to express his opinions but must do so within proper forums.
