Jammu, Dec. 26 -- Apni Party Chief Altaf Bukhari on Friday said that the Ministry of Home Affairs has taken steps to ensure legal proceedings against those involved in the harassment and intimidation of a Kashmiri shawl seller in Kashipur, Uttarakhand.

In a post on X, Bukhari referred to the response issued by an official of the Ministry of Home Affairs stating that assault on Kashmiri shawl sellers will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He said the statement from the Union Ministry was important to address the incident and to convey that such actions fall under the ambit of law.
