Srinagar, Feb. 24 -- Apni Party has urged the government to ensure the immediate completion of the construction of the Government Medical College (GMC) at its already approved site in Gund Chogal, Handwara. The party has warned against any attempt to change the location of the college to appease certain political leaders.

According to a press release issued here, the Apni Party raised this demand today after a delegation from the Langate Constituency in Handwara met with party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari in Srinagar. The delegation apprised him of ongoing attempts to relocate the GMC solely to appease certain politicians.
