Srinagar, Dec. 30 -- The Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Gulmarg on Tuesday issued an advisory mandating the compulsory use of anti-skid chains for all vehicles plying on the Tangmarg-Gulmarg road in view of the forecast of snowfall and icy conditions in the area. According to the order, snowfall is expected in the Tangmarg-Gulmarg sector, which may render the road slippery and unsafe for vehicular traffic. In the interest of public safety and smooth regulation of traffic, authorities have directed that all vehicles operating on the stretch must use anti-skid chains during snowfall and icy conditions.
