Kulgam, July 7 -- As a severe heatwave grips the Kashmir Valley, patients and their attendants at District Hospital Kulgam are facing extreme discomfort due to the lack of cooling facilities in the hospital's old building. The centralized air conditioning system is defunct, and there are no working fans or proper ventilation, making conditions inside the wards unbearable-especially for elderly patients and children.

With temperatures soaring, the absence of basic amenities like air conditioning and drinking water has raised serious concerns about patient safety and hospital readiness.
