Srinagar, Sept. 14 -- Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) has strongly criticized Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and his government for failing to act on the Cabinet Sub-Committee (CSC) report on reservations, despite repeated promises to open merit and address students' grievances.

In a statement issued, AIP Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi said, "When Omar Abdullah's party took power, they made tall promises: revisit the reservation policy, ensure fairness for open merit students and resolve the issues within six months. That time has passed. Thousands of students remain betrayed.
