Baramulla, Oct. 13 -- The District Magistrate Baramulla, Minga Sherpa (IAS), on Monday issued an order prohibiting the flying of drones across District Baramulla till October 31, 2025, under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023.

The order, bearing No. 59-DMB (PS) 2025 dated October 13, 2025, comes following a communication from HQ 19 Infantry Division C/o 56 APO, which highlighted concerns over possible smuggling and misuse of drones in the Kashmir Valley, especially during the upcoming festive season.
