Bandipora, June 11 -- A local court in Bandipora on Tuesday dropped contempt proceedings against the Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR), who is also the Collector of Land Acquisition, after the officer complied with previous court directives regarding a long-pending land compensation case.

The case, pending since December 2019, pertained to a decree passed by the court for payment of ?8.4 lakh in favour of a landowner whose land was acquired and is presently under the occupation of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Bandipora.
