Srinagar, Sept. 8 -- Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Monday said that 40 schools remain closed in flood-affected areas and will reopen only when the situation improves and children's health and education are not at risk.
Speaking to reporters, the minister said that schools were closed because of the floods, which affected their cleanliness and displaced people who have been shifted to these schools. "It's been a while since the area has been opened.
