Srinagar, May 29 -- In a remarkable achievement, 22 Indian Army mountaineers successfully reached the summit of Mt Everest (8,848 metres) on May 27, 2025, as part of the Silver Jubilee Everest Expedition, organised by the Army's Adventure Wing.

The expedition, led by Lt Col Bhanoo Pathak with Maj Mehak Mehta and Maj Anirudh Yadav, was commanded by Lt Col Manoj Joshi. This climb commemorates 40 years since the Army's first successful Everest expedition in 1985, celebrating a legacy of adventure and excellence.
