Anantnag, Aug. 27 -- Floods in South Kashmir have submerged the district court complex in Anantnag, halting regular court functions. Despite the situation, Principal District Judge Tahir Khursheed Raina reached the court premises by boat on Wednesday.
The judge, along with Chief Judicial Magistrate Feroz Ahmed Khan, visited the court building to check the condition of the premises and judicial records.
The court complex, including courtrooms and record rooms, was under water due to continuous rainfall and flooding.
Judge Raina directed police authorities to handle remand cases and bail matters without delay. He said that even during natural disasters, access to justice must continue.
