Leh, Nov. 25 -- The prestigious WAVES Film Bazaar 2025 wrapped up on a high note, with the Ladakhi-language feature "Kakthet" (Idiot) emerging as one of the biggest winners of the event.
The film clinched the top prize in the Co-Production Features category, earning a $10,000 cash grant.
Directed by Stenzin Tankong and produced by Ritu Sarin, Tenzing Sonam, and Rajesh Thanickan, Kakthet is an India-France co-production that brings forward a compelling narrative rooted deeply in Ladakh's cultural and social landscape.
