Kargil, March 20 -- The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) was called upon by various delegations today at Raj Niwas in Kargil on the first day of his two-day tour to Kargil district.

General Manager, NHIDCL, Kargil, Sh Arun Porge met with the LG and invited him for inauguration of a Bridge at Leh on March 22. The HLG assured to inform his presence.

President Jamiat Ulema Isna Ashriya Kargil, Sheikh Nazir Mehdi religious head along with Ghulam Haider and Liyaqat Ali called on LG. The delegation appraised the LG about their plan for mass plantation of 1 lakh saplings in Kargil involving different departments, Indian Army and general public.
