Awantipora, Dec. 12 -- Prof. Shakeel Ahmed, Professor at the Centre for Disaster Risk Reduction, Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), has been appointed as a Visiting TWAS Research Professor by The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), where he is an elected Fellow. He will serve at the Department of Geology, University of Zambia, under a programme through which TWAS Fellows mentor researchers in developing and least-developed countries.
