Kargil, Oct. 29 -- Following directives from the Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (APCCF), UT Ladakh, the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) conducted an important inspection on October 26, 2025, of the remote Talma Brook area.

The inspection team, which included field staff and the Lambardar (local head) of Yokma Kharbu village, undertook a challenging 8-kilometer trek to reach the ecologically significant site. The Talma Brook area is crucial for its natural cover of Juniper, locally known as Shukpa.
