Kargil, March 12 -- Executive Councillor for Rural Development, ZDA, Er. Punchok Tashi today chaired a meeting with Director, Horticulture, Ladakh, Tsewang Phunchok, to discuss the extension of horticulture activities in Zanskar.

During the meeting, various potential avenues for horticultural development in the region were deliberated upon, including the cultivation of medicinal plants native to Zanskar, the establishment of modern orchards and nurseries, and the introduction of solar crop dryers to enhance productivity and sustainability.

EC Tashi expressed optimism about the sector's growth and emphasized that under his vision, Zanskar would witness advancements in horticulture, contributing to the overall development of Ladakh.
