Kargil, Feb. 19 -- The District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Kargil, in collaboration with Child Welfare Committee (CWC) and Child Helpline (1098/112), conducted an Inspection cum Awareness Drive from February 12 to February 15, 2025, on child physical abuse at various private residential hostels in Kargil.

This initiative was undertaken in response to a child physical abuse incident reported at a Private Residential Coaching Centre in Kargil. The drive aimed to assess hostel facilities, interact with students and staff, and raise awareness on child protection laws.
