Kargil, Feb. 4 -- Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Suse today visited Namsuru village to review the progress on development of tourism in the area.

It was informed that land stands earmarked in Namsuru for developing tourism-related facilities to enhance the region's tourism sector. This initiative follows the Suru valleys recognition as one of National Geographic's 25 best destinations worldwide.

Accordingly, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to expedite execution of approved projects in the area.

DC stressed on comprehensive skill development programs for local youths in the adventure tourism as well as other forms of tourism sector.
