Srinagar, Aug. 8 -- Water contamination has emerged as a major public health concern in the historic locality of Maisuma Srinagar, where residents are reportedly receiving contaminated unclean water in their homes.
Prominent social activist Ajaz Ahmad War has expressed serious concern over the deteriorating quality of the water supply in the area. According to him, residents are being forced to consume visibly dirty water, resulting in a surge of water-borne diseases.
"The water being supplied is unfit for consumption. People are falling ill. Authorities must intervene before the situation worsens," War said.
