Leh, Jan. 10 -- The Chief Secretary of the Union Territory of Ladakh, Shri Ashish Kundra, today visited the historic Lamayuru Monastery, one of the most revered spiritual and cultural landmarks of the region, and held interactions with local residents, monks, and representatives of the area.
During the visit, the villagers and monastery representatives apprised the Chief Secretary of several long-standing developmental and infrastructure-related requirements.
These included requests for financial assistance for the extension of the Monastery's Mask Dance (Cham) Ground to facilitate the smooth conduct of traditional religious and cultural events, construction of a roof structure for parts of the Monastery to ensure protection from harsh ...
