New Delhi, Feb. 9 -- Hon'ble Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today met Hon'ble Union Minister for Minority Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs, Shri Kiren Rijiju, at New Delhi and held detailed discussions on issues concerning the welfare and development of Kargil district.

During the meeting, the CEC highlighted key matters related to minority welfare including establishment of Centre of Excellence for skill development at Kargil and establishment of residential hostels at Sub Divisional Headquarters at Kargil under Revised Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK) scheme, an initiative of Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India.
