Kargil, Feb. 11 -- In Kargil , the 17th CEC Cup Ice Hockey Championship began today at the Ice Hockey Rink, Biamathang, Kargil, with great enthusiasm among players and sports enthusiasts.

A total of 29 men's teams and 4 women's teams from various parts of Kargil district are participating in the prestigious tournament, showcasing the growing passion for ice hockey in the region.

Acting Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Kacho Mohd Feroz, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. He formally inaugurated the championship by performing the ceremonial puck drop.
