India ratified the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) and the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organised Crime (UNTOC) in the year 2011. However, much before the ratification, there was already an anti-corruption law in place called the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (amended 2018).
