Srinagar, Dec. 25 -- Police in Anantnag apprehended two persons with contraband substances, a police spokesperson informed on Wednesday.
He said acting on specific information, a police party intercepted two individuals at the Harnag-Bategoo bypass. Upon search, a heroin-like contraband substance weighing approximately 65 grams was recovered from their possession. The accused were identified as Bhupinder Singh, son of Chanan Singh, resident of Gurdaspur, Punjab; and Balbir Chand, son of Kishan Chand, resident of Dinagarh, Gurdaspur. Both were arrested on the spot, and a case was registered for investigation.
