Anantnag, Aug. 9 -- Police in Anantnag today arrested two "habitual fraudsters" involved in a multi-layered racket of cheating and criminal intimidation.

A police spokesperson identified the arrested individuals as Tasaduq Hussain Dar alias Haji Tasaduq, son of Abdul Gani Dar of Sadoora Anantnag; and Mohammad Iqbal Wani alias Iqbal Bumdori, son of Mohammad Sikander Wani of Bumdoora Kokernag.

He said the duo had been operating under the garb of various fake business ventures including real estate, fruit trade, and wild garlic trade (Jangli Lahsun), and have allegedly defrauded numerous individuals across the district and the Union Territory.
