Srinagar, March 8 -- Srinagar Police has booked two "infamous" drug peddlers under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (PIT-NDPS Act).
A police spokesperson said the Hazim Bashir Bazaz alias Zahid, son of Bashir Ahmad Bazaz of Housing Colony Chanapora Srinagar, and Momin Mehraj Bazaz, son of Mehraj-ud-Din Bazaz, resident of Syedpora Eidgah, have been booked under PIT-NDPS Act after obtaining the formal detention orders from Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir on the basis of dossiers prepared by the police against them.
These drug peddlers were detained and subsequently lodged in District Jail Udhampur, police spokesperson said.
