Srinagar, Feb. 12 -- Traffic Police Headquarters, Jammu and Kashmir, on Wednesday issued a detailed traffic plan and advisory for February 12, 2026, warning commuters about slow movement and restrictions on key highways due to snow accumulation, landslides and ongoing road works.

Officials said that on February 10, traffic movement on the Jammu Srinagar National Highway remained slow due to single-lane operation at Kishtwari Pathar, breakdown of heavy motor vehicles and poor weather conditions. In view of the 20 to 30 metre single-lane stretch caused by the sinking of the road at Kishtwari Pathar, heavy motor vehicles shall be allowed to ply on alternate days.
