Srinagar, Jan. 1 -- Police in Pulwama have secured the conviction of three accused persons in a case registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
The conviction was pronounced by the Special Court designated under the NIA Act, Pulwama, in connection with a case (FIR No. 151/2022) of Police Station Pulwama under sections 307 IPC, 7/27 Arms Act and Sections 16, 18, 19, 20, 38 & 39 of the UA(P) Act.
The accused were found guilty of "providing shelter and support to terrorists of a banned organization".
According to a police spokesperson, one Mehraj Ud Din Mir was convicted under Sections 19 & 39 of the UA(P) Act and sentenced to three years simple imprisonment with a fine of Rs.10,000 under Section 19 and 03 years and 10 mon...
