Srinagar, Feb. 17 -- CPI(M) senior leader and MLA Kulgam, Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami on Sunday contested claims of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar wherein he asserted that Dr B R Ambedkar refused to draft Article 370.
Tarigami termed the claim a "blatant distortion of historical facts".
Taking to micro-blogging site X (formerly Twitter), Tarigami said: "Hon'ble Vice President's claim that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar refused to draft Art. 370 is a blatant distortion of historical facts. Nowhere in Ambedkar's extensive writings, including his book Pakistan or the Partition of India, is there any mention of such a refusal".
