JAMMU, Jan. 1 -- Secretary, Rural Development Department (RDD) and Panchayati Raj, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, on Thursday, directed for expeditious completion of all pending houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) across Jammu and Kashmir, setting a one-month deadline for completing all remaining sanctioned units.
Stressing that delays would not be tolerated, the Secretary warned of strict action in cases of negligence."All remaining houses must be completed by the end of the current month, failing which strict action will be taken," he asserted.
The officials informed the meeting that out of 3,35,452 houses sanctioned for the Union Territory, 3,20,894 houses have already been completed.
