GANDERBAL, Dec. 26 -- Secretary, Transport Department, Avny Lavasa, today visited Sonamarg to take stock of the functioning and facilities at the Weighbridge here.
The Secretary was accompanied by the Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Kashmir, Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Ganderbal and other concerned officers and officials.
During the visit, the Secretary assessed the operational status of the weighbridge, availability of manpower and adequacy of infrastructure. She stressed the importance of strict enforcement of axle load norms to curb overloading, ensure smooth traffic regulation, enhance road safety and protect road infrastructure.
