Srinagar, Jan. 1 -- The Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL), has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns on various 33 kV lines to facilitate maintenance and allied works.

The shutdowns will temporarily disrupt electricity supply in several areas of Srinagar and Budgam districts on different dates in January 2026.

According to KPDCL, the 33 kV Habbak-Zakura line will remain shut on January 4, 2026, resulting in the suspension of power supply from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm in Danihama, Khimber, Teilbal, Burzhama, Shopperbagh, Rahbagh, Batpora, Zakura, Gulabagh, and adjoining areas.
