SRINAGAR, Jan. 30 -- The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns in parts of Srinagar and Budgam districts to facilitate maintenance works on key transmission lines.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, a shutdown of the 33 kV Alusteng-Zakura line will be observed on January 31, 2026, affecting power supply to Ahmad Nagar, Umerhair, and adjoining areas from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Similarly, a shutdown of the Cheshmashahi-TRC-Nedous line has been scheduled on February 1, 2026, during which electricity supply to Dal area, Paras Hospital, and 33 kV installations of Rajbagh Tapline will remain disrupted from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
