Baramulla, Dec. 19 -- A resident of Rafiabad was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Pattan area of north Kashmir's Baramulla district on Friday, raising serious concerns and prompting police to initiate an investigation.

Sources said the deceased was working at a private residence in the Gousbug area of Pattan, where his body was later discovered. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear.

The deceased has been identified as Javaid Ahmed Mir, a resident of Khanmoh, Rafiabad. Family members alleged foul play, stating that they were informed about the death in the morning and immediately sought a thorough probe into the matter.
