Srinagar, March 30 -- Property worth crores of rupees including a residential house, three shops and electric transformer was destroyed in separate incidents of fire in Srinagar during the preceding night, officials said Friday.
A residential dwelling, officials said, was destroyed in a fire incident at Kralpora area while two shops were gutted after an electric transformer caught fire at Kathi Darwaza area in Makhdoom Sahab here around 11 pm last night.
The event resulted in significant damage to the attic portion of the residential structure, which the officials claimed, occurred due to the short circuit.
