TANGMARG, March 22 -- Apni Party Senior Vice President, Ghulam Hassan Mir today said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have been deprived of their democratic rights.
Addressing a public outreach program at village Hard Ichloo in Tangmarg, Ghulam Hassan Mir said that the Central Govt has not announced assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir which were pending for the last several years.
"It appears that the people have been deprived of their democratic rights to elect their own Govt as assembly elections have not been held in J&K," he said.
He demanded that the assembly elections should be held as early as possible so that people can be provided the opportunity to elect their own Govt.
