India, Nov. 14 -- As counting of votes progresses for the Budgam bypoll, People's Democratic Party candidate Aga Syed Muntazir has taken a significant lead of 1091 votes from National Conference candidate Aga Syed Mahmood after the fourth round.

According to figures available with news agency-Kashmir News Observer (KNO), PDP's Muntazir Mehdi has secured 5,117 votes, while National Conference candidate Aga Syed Mahmood Al-Mosavi has polled 4,026 votes.

Independent candidate Mohd Sameer Bhat follows with 1,862 votes, AIP-backed candidate Nazir Ahmad Khan has bagged 1,407 votes so far, while independent candidate Jibran Dar has got 1,228 votes
