Budgam, Jan. 9 -- A man died and seven others were injured in two separate road accidents in central Kashmir's Budgam district on Monday.

News agency KDC reported that a load carrier carrying straw bales towards Banjer Cherar-e-Sharief, skidded off the road at Baji Pathri, resulting in the death of its driver Kursheed Ahmad, a resident of Ganderbal, while his father Abdul Hamid was injured in this mishap.

In another accident, a load carrier driven by Bilal Ahmad Dar skidded at Khree Gund Chadoora, leaving six persons injured.

They were taken to CHC Nagam where doctors referred them to Srinagar SMHS Hospital for further treatment.

Police confirmed the road accidents and said cases have been registered in this regard.
