Srinagar, March 16 -- Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri today said there is no threat of floods in Kashmir valley, and that the authorities are monitoring the situation on an hourly basis. He also said that the relentless downpour has almost compensated for the deficiency in precipitation.

Speaking to media here, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir expressed contentment over ongoing rains in Kashmir valley, saying people were craving for precipitation as the decrease of water level in rivers and springs had left orchards and agricultural land dry.
