Anantnag, Sept. 4 -- A sudden and mysterious gush of water in the Hallpora area of Kokernag late last night triggered a flash flood-like situation, spreading fear and panic among residents.
According to eyewitnesses, a large volume of water began flowing rapidly into the lower areas without any prior warning or visible source. The water was described as exceptionally clear, cold, and bluish in color-characteristics typically associated with natural springs or underground reservoirs.
One local resident recalled a similar incident from 2014, saying: "We heard a loud rushing sound around 7:30 p.m. and came out to find the entire area flooded. The water was crystal clear and freezing cold. We have no idea where it is coming from."
