KULGAM, Aug. 28 -- A review meeting of the Horticulture department was convened today at Rest House, Chawalgam, under the chairmanship of Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Kulgam, M.Y. Tarigami.
At the outset, Chief Horticulture Officer Kulgam presented a comprehensive overview of the department's achievements in the district during the previous and current year under various centrally and UT-sponsored schemes.
He also outlined the key activities and initiatives planned for implementation during the ongoing financial year 2025-26.
MLA stated that horticulture, being the backbone of the district's economy, requires sustained focus and intensified efforts.
