Jammu, Feb. 19 -- Conceived in 1967, the foundation stone of Adi Shankaracharya Temple at Katra was laid today at Katra by the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha who also announced a series of major initiatives for the development of Katra, including the setting up of an International Museum of Goddess.
The foundation-laying ceremony comes nearly six decades after the Shankaracharya temple project was first conceived in 1967, the officials said.
