SRINAGAR, July 1 -- The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across various parts of Srinagar to facilitate crucial infrastructure works, including grid evacuation and maintenance of 33 kV lines.
According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the 33 kV Burzhama Tap line will be shut down to enable power evacuation for the GIS Harwan grid station. As a result, the 33/11 kV Receiving Station at Burzhama will remain off, impacting power supply in Danihama, Khimber, Chaterhama, Tailbal, Burzhama, Gassu, Shoperbagh, Rahbagh, and Batpora. The shutdown will be observed from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on July 2, 5, and 7, 2025.
