SRINAGAR, Jan. 6 -- The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of Srinagar and south Kashmir due to maintenance works.
According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the 33 KV Wanpoh-Ashajipora and Wanpoh-Malaknag double circuit lines will remain shut on January 8 and 10, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. As a result, power supply to Ashajipora, Dialgam, Malaknag, Hazratbal, Brakpora, Doonipawa, and adjoining areas will remain affected during the shutdown period.
Meanwhile, shutdowns of the 33 KV Bemina-Fateh Kadal line and the 33 KV Bemina-Barbarshah line will be observed on January 8, 12, and 15, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. During this period, electricity s...
