Srinagar, July 8 -- Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Monday said that Kashmir's tourism sector is gradually recovering after the recent Pahalgam attack courtesy of coordinated efforts by the Centre and the Jammu and Kashmir administration.

Speaking at a two-day tourism conclave in Srinagar, Shekhawat said the situation is improving and urged all states to promote Kashmir as a safe and vibrant travel destination.

"Tourism had slowed after the Pahalgam incident, but it is now reviving. The UT administration, with the Centre's support, has taken strong confidence-building measures which will be fruitful in the coming days," Shekhawat said, as per the news agency KNO.
