SRINAGAR, July 12 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Education Department is set to implement revised school timings across the Kashmir division beginning Monday, offering much-needed relief to students and parents.
According to the updated schedule, schools located within the Srinagar Municipal limits will now operate from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, while schools outside these limits-including those in other districts-will function from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
The decision follows growing concerns over early morning school hours, especially for younger students. "The current schedule is too harsh for small children.
