Srinagar, March 30 -- Minister for Forest, Ecology & Environment, Javed Ahmed Rana, today convened a meeting at Jammu to review the functioning of the Forest Department.
He reviewed the department's activities and discussed various aspects of forest management, including conservation efforts, Ek Ped Maa ke Naam, Protection measures, community engagement, sustainable development and Community Social Responsibility.
PCCF Chief, Suresh Kumar Gupta, gave a brief on the department's activities and highlighted the achievements of the forest department.
During the meeting, physical and financial progress on key flagship schemes was also reviewed.
