Srinagar, March 22 -- Security forces on Friday claimed to have busted a "sophisticated" underground hideout in the Pehlipora area of Dachigam forests, but the terrorists managed to escape before the raid, triggering an ongoing search operation.

Quoting sources, Kashmir Dot Com reported that intelligence inputs hinted at terrorist movement in the upper reaches of Pehlipora, prompting a joint operation by the Special Operations Group (SOG) of police and 50 Rashtriya Rifles (RR).

During the operation, forces uncovered a bunker-type hideout stocked with logistics. "The terrorists had already vacated the site by the time our team arrived," sources said, adding that efforts are underway to track and apprehend them.
