JAMMU, Jan. 29 -- The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday ordered a time-bound inquiry into the circulation of viral video allegedly from the Government Medical College (GMC) in Udhampur, officials said.

An official told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the probe was sanctioned a day after the videos surfaced on social media platforms, triggering widespread concern.

According to Government Order No. 67-JK(HME), of 2026 dated January 28, Prof. (Dr.) Ashutosh Gupta, Principal of GMC Jammu, has been appointed as the Inquiry Officer.
