Srinagar, Feb. 11 -- Expressing serious concern over the administration's failure to fulfil its promise of regularising daily wagers, casual labourers, scheme workers, contractual workers and others, working in various departments, CPI (M) leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami today said these poor workers are already suffering due to the non-payment of wages for months together.
"Today hundreds of these casual labourers and daily wagers held protest demonstrations at Press Enclave Srinagar demanding their regularization but they were lathi-charged and scores of them were detained," said Tarigami.
